Winds shift Selah wildfire away from homes

The Associated Press SELAH, Yakima County — The 15-square-mile wildfire near Selah is no longer threatening any homes. Army pilot from Yakima County killed in Afghanistan

Capt. Aaron Blanchard, a 32-year old Army helicopter pilot who grew up in Selah, Yakima County, was killed Tuesday in Pul-e Alam, Afghanistan, according to the Army.
