EVERETT (AP) — Snohomish County has agreed to pay $495,000 to settle a lawsuit with a former death investigator who had accused the medical examiner of workplace retaliation and failing to accommodate her disability.
The Daily Herald reports the county admits no wrongdoing in the deal that was approved Wednesday by the Snohomish County Council.
Shannon Impett of Granite Falls had suffered a back injury while moving a body and was seeking alternative work assignments when she was let go in 2011.
