Monroe police are investigating an attempted abduction of a 16-year-old girl in the 16900 block of Tester Road on Monday.
The victim told police she was walking home from school when a man approached her, grabbed her arm and ordered her to “come with me,” according to a police news release. She wrestled her arm free and ran home, where she called police, the release said.
The man, whom she described to police as white, 20 years old, 6 feet tall and 210 pounds with shaggy brown hair that went to his eyebrows, ran away toward the roundabout on West Main Street, the release said.
The man was last seen wearing bluejeans and a black V-neck shirt with white writing on it, police said. The 16-year-old was not injured.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Monroe Police Department at 360-794-6300. Anonymous information may be left on the department’s tip line at 360-863-4600.
