A 35-year-old man was taken to the hospital after falling from the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, according to a spokesman for the Washington State Patrol.
The man told responders he hadn’t jumped, but he was wearing a helmet and a life jacket, and troopers suspect he did, said the spokesman, Trooper Guy Gill.
The man was taken to Tacoma General Hospital from the beach on the Gig Harbor side of the bridge, Gill said. The extent of his injuries wasn’t immediately clear.
