What are Facebook comments?
We’re using this blog to test a commenting system developed by Facebook. In order to post a comment, you must log in using a Facebook account. Your name as it appears on Facebook will be displayed with your comment.
Many other news sites have adopted this platform for two main reasons:
- Because Facebook accounts are almost always based on real names, it prevents people from hiding behind anonymity and making personal attacks on others.
- Commenters have the option of sharing their comment to their Facebook wall, which helps promote newspaper content across Facebook’s huge user base.
Your comments here are not connected to your screen name or commenting history on the rest of seattletimes.com.
Because we are evaluating this system, your feedback is encouraged. Please use this form.
