Hey, Mitchie!

Heard that I was ripped a new one on KJR (950 AM) sports radio today. Apparently Mitch Levy was on his namesake morning show giggling with his peeps about a Sue Bird article I wrote that didn’t mention him by name, but identified Dori Monson, another local talk radio host. My bad Mitch, you’re right, I should have included your name in the story.
And I accept your apology for not bucking up to be interviewed when the whole spanking debacle spread nationally in 2003.
As far as y’all snickering about my book? Thanks for the plug! I’ve wanted to talk about it on the station since the release and you saved me the oxygen. As they say in the biz, any pub is good pub.
So, want to move on? After all, my dad (now coaching at USF) loved being interviewed by you when his former Louisiana-Lafayette team advanced to the NCAA tourney. Our shared love of men’s college basketball (Lawrence Moten is one of my all-time favorite players) should be enough to spark at least one friendly conversation, whadda ya say?
