Huskies abroad

The Washington women’s basketball team departed this morning for a 10-day tour of Italy that’ll include stops in Venice, Milan, and Rome. Forgot to put my order in for some shoes, but it was nice to see guard Cameo Hicks around the Storm camp this summer. She interned with the marketing department and said she learned plenty.
The Huskies will play three games against Italian professional teams and one against the country’s select team, returning home Sept 1. The UW roster includes all 12 players that advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament, losing to Minnesota guard Seimone Augustus’ Louisiana State, the recently named WNBA Rookie of the Year.
