Lennox out

Storm guard Betty Lennox will not return in time to play in her team’s two road exhibition games, Saturday in Indiana and Tuesday in Connecticut. That was news that nearly deflated coach Anne Donovan when told during the media availability after practice today.
Lennox’s Poland team lost in the decisive Game 6 of the best-of-seven Finals and Game 7 is slated for Saturday.
And it seems Polish media is questioning the use of Lennox, who apparently has been benched by Lotos during the series. Some speculate this could change for the title match on Saturday. Either way, Donovan just wants Lennox in training camp.
Lennox’s absence leaves three perimeter players available for the exhibition opener against Indiana, because guard Tanisha Wright (groin injury) isn’t expected to play. Veteran Wendy Palmer will swing to the small forward position to give Katie Gearlds, Iziane Castro Marques and Shyra Ely a break in the backcourt.
