Back again

Former Storm forward Barbara Turner signed with Houston on Wednesday. I heard rumors about this earlier and hoped it would be true.
While undersized, Turner could be a quality WNBA player and her exit from Seattle would have been a shameful end to her career. I’m still waiting to see what coach Anne Donovan sees in Shyra Ely. And I could be waiting a while because there just aren’t enough minutes to go around. If all Ely turns out to be is a practice player, then I would have definitely kept Turner because the Storm needs to practice against an aggressive defender — see San Antonio or any past Sacramento game for reasons why.
But for now, let’s hope Turner finds a solid path. Her first matchup against her former team is June 15 at KeyArena.
