Not again

Storm signee Shona Thorburn is with the team and could play in tomorrow’s game despite only have practiced with the team once. She’ll also have a walk through Friday morning at shoot around and teammates said they were going to work with her at the hotel tonight.
One thing you won’t see (unless Storm coach Anne Donovan is pulling my leg) is rookie Katie Gearlds at the point. You may recall this experiment when guard Tanisha Wright (groin) was injured and Sue Bird was playing overseason during the exhibition season. Even Gearlds’ family chuckled at that idea as she started at the point in Indiana. The Storm lost. But they also lost there during the regular season with Bird.
Seattle’s best option may be to let guard Betty Lennox handle the ball more. She’s improved and has already done a solid job to setup Iziane Castro Marques and Janell Burse this season.
Regardless, the most important thing is going to be getting All-Star Lauren Jackson the ball. If she doesn’t struggle early to get involved, the Storm can gain confidence and just might make it through this stretch without their court leader in Bird.
