Insane!

The Storm is experiencing their first dip of the season with “camp day” in Los Angeles, as 10,000 kids have filled Staples Center. The Sparks didn’t include the game as part of their season-ticket package, but the kids are currently making up for the empty seats with ear-peircing screams. It’s, in a word, insane. They screamed during the national anthem and haven’t stopped. And unlike past seasons, the new owners didn’t give the media earplugs — rats!
Oh, and Sparks forward Jessica Moore made it worse by telling the kids to be as loud as they possibly can and “don’t stop until the game is over.” Thanks, Jessica.
Seattle is having fun with it, laughing each time the kids scream when the jumbo tron cues “NOISE.” Let’s see how the players feel Wednesday when the have to play a noon “camp day” game at home — the oddest back-to-back set in pro hoops.
