Okies

Washington assistant coach Crystal Robinson had some bold words for Seattle media.
“Seattle should be thanking their lucky stars, they are going to see 14,000 every night in Oklahoma. I guarantee it!” Robinson told radio personality Adia Barnes within earshot of The Times.
Robinson, a former New York Liberty star who retired as a Mystic earlier this season, is from the state and graduated from SE Oklahoma in 1996. Her town is about 90-minutes from where Storm guard Betty Lennox’s family lives and Robinson’s hometown population isn’t much bigger at 250.
Robinson’s theory on a successful relocation, if new Sonics and Storm owner Clay Bennett is unsuccessful in obtaining a splashy facility in the Seattle area, is that, “There’s nothing to do there. Nothing.”
Robinson still spends her offseason in Oklahoma and said she’s enjoying coaching on the pro level, but that the players can be tough to deal with if you’re not a former player yourself. She wants to coach in the WNBA for a couple of years before finding a gig on the college level.
