A different view of Storm’s win against Sacramento

Forgot to share that Times photographer Rod Mar blogs after his shoots. He covered opening night and the win against Sacramento on Tuesday, so check out his site for the perspective from the camera lens. You’ll also get to see some photos that didn’t make the paper and know what type of camera/lens he used to get the shot, cool stuff.
Despite its horrible opening half, the Storm did convert another male fan. Mike Seely works for Seattle Weekly and he’s that typical dude the WNBA craves. I love his work from the Supes beat and if the Storm can manage to play as it has in the second half of both games this season — outscoring opponents 88-54 — he just might come back.
I made it to Phoenix this afternoon, it’s blistering hot and sunny, jealous? Oh, and I’m writing this poolside. OK, I can see the pool from my room, but after all the computer troubles I’ve had, I wouldn’t dare take this thing near water. Anyway, it’s interesting to note that the Mercury isn’t practicing today.
The defending champions suffered their second consecutive loss on Tuesday, Diana Taurasi is at her home arena shooting hoops, trying to figure out how to get over their mini hump.
I hear the Storm is getting ready to board their plane for Phoenix. They had an extremely light practice this morning, not doing too much, but Sheryl Swoopes did participate after rolling her ankle late in the game on Tuesday. She’s expected to play against the Mercury.
