Swoopes setback

Storm F Sheryl Swoopes is probable to travel to LA with the Storm due to a reoccurring headache from the mild concussion she suffered on Saturday against Minnesota. Swoopes said she stopped taking the medication prescribed to her because she didn’t wanted the “drugged” feeling, but she can’t get the headaches to stop.
Swoopes, who is suffering from her first head injury, cannot return to practice until the headaches are gone.
Since it’s a quick trip and her being available for the postseason is more important than showing support on Sunday, Swoopes thinks she’ll skip the trip and rest. Meanwhile Storm F Lauren Jackson, who returned Wednesday following minor ankle surgery in Australia, will travel with the team to LA.
“I’m going to see how I feel in the morning,” Swoopes said. “It’s just hard dealing with the pain and the upset stomach. I’m going to take the drugs and hope to be able to back at practice next week.”
