Washington coach Tia Jackson to fans: “Keep it in perspective”

Washington coach Tia Jackson wasn’t happy about the 105-points in losses her team tallied last week, but her message to restless fans was to, “keep it in perspective.” She told media at her first press conference since returning from the Bay Area that her program is still on the right course and that focusing on the points alone would be short-sighted.
Regardless of how fans feel, the team appears to still believe in Jackson’s philosophy. The players just started practice and from the little media was allowed to watch, they had energy and laughter could even be heard during warm-ups. The focus seems to have shifted to Oregon on Thursday and nothing is better to a Husky than a little Duck after a rough weekend, right?
Freshman Kristi Kingma (left ankle) didn’t practice, but could jump and walk without a limp. Jackson hopes the shooting guard is able to play Saturday against Oregon State, but is uncertain. Meanwhile junior G Sara Mosiman (right ankle) is questionable to play this weekend. She didn’t participate in the part of practice open to media and suffered a small setback in the California loss, her first game since Dec. 21.
