Storm forward Swin Cash had successful back surgery today

Storm forward Swin Cash had successful back surgery today in Pittsburgh by Dr. Joseph Maroon. Her rehabilitation period is expected to be 8-12 weeks, allowing her to start the season with the team on June 6. Training camp opens on May 17 and even prior to announcing today that she’d have surgery, Cash predicted she would be healthy for her second season in Seattle.
“We were pleased to receive the good news today on Swin’s surgery,” Storm coach Brian Agler said in a released statement. “Swin played in pain last season so we are all looking forward to her being healthy this summer. She is a great player and I’m excited to get back on the court with her.”
Cash, 29, had a disc repaired in her lower back.
