Storm announces exhibition schedule; A-Rob heads to Turkey

SeattleStorm.pngThe Storm released their exhibition schedule today. The team will play Sacramento at 7 p.m. on May 21 at KeyArena and travel to face Phoenix at 7 p.m. at U.S. Airways Center on May 30.
Seattle’s season-opener is slated for June 6 at 1 p.m. in Sacramento.
In other team news, the Storm is reporting that center Ashley Robinson has decided to join Camille Little’s team in Turkey. Little returned to the states, thus opening up a roster spot for Robinson, who previously interned for the Dallas Mavericks and assistant coached a high school girls basketball team.
Robinson said coaching helped re-dedicate her to basketball.
“I’ve taken a break from b-ball and I like that, my body feels good,” Robinson said recently. She’s also filled her time with private lessons and clinics in her native Dallas. “I have so much more potential that I haven’t even tapped into and I know that more than ever now since I’ve been coaching. When I say to one of those kids, ‘You have so much potential, why don’t you just go do it?’ It makes total sense now and it never made sense before. Now I see how frustrating it is as a coach to see you doing something and know you could do so much better. I think it’s going to change me as a player.”
Storm training camp opens May 17 and Robinson plans to report on time.
