Storm sign Devanei Hampton to training camp roster

Hampton.jpgThe Storm signed F Devanei Hampton to their training camp roster on Wednesday. Hampton was undrafted after four seasons playing at California along side Storm F Ashley Walker.
Hampton (pictured right) played overseas, most recently averaging 13.2 points and 6.7 rebounds in 23 games for Utex Row Rybnik in Poland. She suffered numerous knee injuries in college, but at 6-foot-3 could be solid competition for the Storm’s frontline in camp.
Hampton ranks fifth in rebounds (876), sixth in points scored (1588), fifth in field goals attempted (1325) and made free throws (331), sixth in made-field goals (625), and eighth in blocked shots (78) at Cal. She is also just the seventh player in school history to score 1,500 points in her career and is a member of the Pac-10 1,500 point and 750 rebound clubs.
Storm training camp opens April 25.
