Got tickets? Sweet 16 ticket information for No. 7 Gonzaga

ZagsLogo.jpgUPDATE: Gonzaga selling Sweet 16 tickets on line at discounted price. Click here to purchase until Friday at noon.
Washington was pleased with the turnout of the Seattle sub-regional at Edmundson Pavilion, according to a spokesman, averaging about 3,266 for three games. It wasn’t as eye-popping as the 10,000 Tennessee drew on its court, but at least showed more interest than the 1,000 who witnessed Baylor freshmen Brittany Griner set a NCAA tournament record with 14 blocks on Monday.
“It was loud in there with just 3,000 people, I’d hate to see it with 10,000,” said Texas A&M coach Gary Blair of Hec Ed’s capacity. His Aggies averaged 5,155 fans at home this season. “It was a good crowd.”
With a strong following cheering for them, the seventh-seeded Zags upset the second-seeded Texas A&M to advance to its first-ever Sweet 16. The game will be played Saturday in Sacramento, Calif. And now the question is how many from Spokane will make the relatively close trip to Northern California?
GU will begin selling tickets to the Sweet 16 to current Bulldogs Club Members, basketball season ticket holders, athletic benefactors and students beginning at noon (PST) on Tuesday. Remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public at 2 pm.
Tickets for these rounds are set at $23 per session played. If Gonzaga plays in the Elite Eight on Monday, ticket purchasers will automatically be billed another $23. Tickets will be sold over the phone ONLY with a Visa or MasterCard by calling the athletic ticket office at (509) 313-6000.
