A few Storm fans have been blowing up Atlanta’s (and mine) phone lines trying to figure out how to get tickets for Games 3 and 4 of the WNBA Finals in the city. The Dream was slow to respond, because as previously reported, there was a snafu with booking Phillips Arena.
Well, Atlanta will be able to play on its home court for Game 3 of the best-of-five series and then will have to play Game 4, if necessary, at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga. due to the “Sesame Street Live” production on Sunday at Philips. It is suggested travelers stay in midtown, which is about 30 minutes from the airport and close to Philips. You should rent a car and prepare for traffic, too, if there’s a Game 4.
Lauren Brooks of the Dream is assisting Seattle fans with their booking needs and she can be contacted at 678-510-7469 or email@example.com. You can also call 1-877-977-7729 or visit www.AtlantaDream.net.
Game time for the Sept. 19 matchup is 8 p.m. EST while the Sept. 19 game will tip-off at 3 p.m. EST.
UPDATE: Fans should note that Brooks is working overtime to accommodate needs, so be patient. She sent this e-mail to a Seattle Times reader and asked that we help spread the word:
Great, I will look into it for you and let you know this afternoon. I have already gotten some calls from Seattle fans this morning. If you could do me a favor and post something on your blogs, facebook etc that I will reach out to EVERYONE who has contacted me this afternoon, I am already holding 50+ seats for your group as close as I can starting in row A right behind the Storm bench, so they do not need to worry about those seats being sold.
I would really appreciate it as we are completely swamped, and I want to make sure we take care of our fans too!
