Storm to host traveling practice at Edmonds-Woodway High

SeattleStorm.pngStorm President and CEO Karen Bryant will reflect on the good ‘ol days when her team travels for an open practice on Saturday. OK, so Edmonds-Woodway were rivals, not one school when Bryant was the star basketball player helping Woodway win the 1984 Class 2A state title. But she still has family in the area and plenty of fans who know the start of her basketball route, making this return interesting.
The Storm has traveled to practice at Lake Washington High in the past. Saturday’s event running from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the high school (7600 212th St. SW, Edmonds, WA, 98026) is free and open to the public. It’s expected to include scrimmages, along with games and activities typically featured at KeyArena. Fans will also have an opportunity to meet Storm players.
But it’ll probably be lighter than the usual sessions at Seattle Pacific University. After Thursday’s game against Minnesota (2-1), Seattle (1-0) doesn’t play, again, until hosting Indiana on June 17.
