Consider tonight’s game against Phoenix a preview of what’s going to take place next week.
The Western Conference first-round playoff matchups were determined Thursday following the Mercury’s 91-76 victory over Tulsa.
No. 1 seed Minnesota faces No. 4 seed San Antonio, while defending WNBA champion Seattle meets Phoenix in a rematch of their 2010 first-round pairing.
Tonight’s 7 p.m. tilt at KeyArena takes an added importance because with a win, the Storm captures the No. 2 seed and earns home court advantage in the first round.
Here’s a look at the playoff schedule. The No. 2 seed hosts Games 1 and 3.
Game 1 – Sept. 15, 7 pm (ESPN2)
Game 2 – Sept. 17, 7 p.m. (NBA TV)
Game 3 (if necessary) – Sept. 19, 7 p.m. (ESPN2)
