Catching up with former Washington forward Jill Bell

Former Washington F Jill Bell is back in town and spotted at KeyArena last weekend. Here’s a chat to catch up with what she’s doing.
Bell played for the Huskies from 2002-07. She was a member of back-to-back NCAA tournament teams as a junior and senior and finished her career as the program’s third all-time shot blocker (96).
For this year’s seniors, none have signed with WNBA or overseas teams, yet. Former UW F Marjorie Heard signed to play at Pacific while G Ashley Moore opted to transfer.
Meanwhile assistant coach Adia Barnes is hosting her second benefit for her foundation on Thursday. The fundraiser is from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at Portage Bay Cafe on 4130 Roosevelt Way NE in the University District. You can find more information here.
