Incoming Cougar Named To U18 Greece National Team
Washington State women’s basketball incoming freshman Pinelopi Pavlopoulou has been selected to play for the Under-18 Greece National Team this summer.
The U18 European Championship will be held July 17-27 in Matosinhos, Portugal. Greece is in Group B and will play Belgium July 17, Lithuania July 18 and Serbia July 19. Pavlopoulou, out of Athens, Greece, has played for the U16 Greece National Team in 2011 and 2012, posting team-highs of 9.4 ppg, 2.6 apg and 1.9 spg while earning MVP honors of the U16 tournament in 2012. The 5-8 point guard also played for the U18 and U20 teams last summer.
Pavlopoulou will arrive in Pullman in August.
